Journalists today need to be able to fill a variety of roles and work across multiple media platforms. As the government reporter for WISH-TV in Indianapolis, I synthesize television newscasts, the Web and social media to tell compelling stories that keep the community informed about news that affects it. I enjoy engaging with members of the community, learning about the issues foremost in their minds and then using different media platforms to explain these issues in a comprehensive way.
